Gifts Records

According to the LA Times March 2019 article, "The lawmakers who received the most gifts in the two houses were state Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco), who accepted $59,000 in travel, meals and other gifts, and Assemblyman Mike Gipson (D-Carson), whose tally was $41,400."

Gifts to our state politicians are notoriously challenging to track. The website to search is unwieldy. However, every year elected officials have to submit a Form 700 to track all of the gifts that they received. These documents are hard to search and saved as PDFs, so we went through and pulled out this data into an easier-to-read format.
